    Magnitude 4.9 quake jolts northwestern Iran

    An earthquake measuring 4.9 on Richter scale struck the city of Sharabian, northwestern province of East Azarbaijan, early on Monday. The pre-dawn temblor injured 13 people. The incident happened at 3:45 a.m. local time at a depth of six kilometers. Local media reported those hurt sustained only slight injuries and were treated on site.
