Iran finish in 16th place at World Junior Water Polo Championships

Iran lost to Egypt 16-8 to finish in the 16th place at the FINA World Men’s Junior Water Polo Championships on Saturday.

Seifeldeen Hesham must have written himself into the record books with a magnificent nine goals, including three penalty strikes, as Egypt topped Iran everywhere in the pool, fina.org wrote.

Iran improved one position from the last championships. Mehdi Yazdankhan, scorer of three goals, topped his team with 16.

The 19th edition of the Fina World Men's Junior Water Polo Championships is taking place in Belgrade, Serbia, from August 5-20, 2017, gathering 20 teams from the five continents, an increase of two teams since the previous edition two years ago in Almaty (KAZ), where 18 teams battled it out for the crown.
