Iran down S. Korea at FIVB Volleyball World Championship Asian Qualifier

Iran defeated South Korea in straight sets (25-10, 27-25, 25-18) in Pool A of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship Asian Qualifier at the 6,000-seater Rezazadeh Gymnasium on Friday.

The five-day tournament, which is being held from August 10 to 14, served as the Asian qualification round, where only top two out of five participating teams will make the cut for the next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship in Bulgaria & Italy between September 10 and 30.

Iran will face powerhouse China on Saturday.

The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification has brought five teams, namely Iran, South Korea, China, Qatar and Kazakhstan together.

The top two teams in each pool will qualify for the 2018 World Championship.
