“Odyssey” to come to Tehran theater

Iranian theater troupe Quantum led by director Arash Dadgar will start performing “Odyssey” at Tehran’s Hafez Hall from April 4.

TEHRAN – Iranian theater troupe Quantum led by director Arash Dadgar will start performing “Odyssey” at Tehran’s Hafez Hall from April 4.

Dramatized by Mehdi Tajeddin, the play is playwright Amin Tabatabai’s free conception of the well-known Greek epic poem of the same name that is attributed to Homer.

The play tells the story of Greek hero Odysseus who was king of Ithaca and centers on his long journey home following the fall of Troy as the outcome of Trojan War.

Members of the cast include Kambiz Amini, Negar Abedi, Hesam Manzur, Ammar Ashuri, Amir Rajabi, Mehrab Rostami and Reza Morshed.
